Over the past two weeks, I was in the Netherlands for the mating of Soof… and Suus! Suus surprised us by coming into heat earlier than expected. For this reason, we decided to have her mated in the Netherlands as well, with a male similar to the one we had previously planned here in Sweden. Around April 10, we plan to carry out ultrasound scans to check whether both females are actually pregnant. Always exciting! We have already received many applications for Soof’s litter, and for Suus as well, although there may still be a few spots available on our waiting list. We will keep you updated!

Yes, now it’s finally happening: Soof is in heat! Her cycle started on Tuesday, so today is day 3 – the adventure has officially begun 😊. On March 4th, I will travel to the Netherlands, and on March 5th, we will take her first progesterone test to see if she is ready for mating. Based on her previous cycles, we expect her to mate around day 14/15. If Soof is mated around March 9th and the pregnancy lasts about 9 weeks (with her, the puppies often arrive even a little earlier), we expect the puppies to be born around May 11th. This means the puppies could move to their new, loving homes around July 6th

Time for an update :-). We have both good and less good news. Beautiful “Fina Stina” has been approved as a future mom. We are very happy about this because, besides being a beautiful lady, she also has an incredibly nice, sweet and cheerful character. Truly an asset to our kennel! She lives with a lovely family in Karlstad where she is dearly loved. Soon we expect her second heat. Then we will have an idea of the time between two heats and can estimate when she might have a litter.

Less good news is that we unfortunately decided not to approve Tobi as a stud dog. He meets many of the requirements a stud dog should have, but unfortunately not all of them. Tobi is therefore an incredibly beautiful and sweet family dog, but unfortunately not suitable for breeding. Tobi has found his place with a loving family in Stockholm where he truly belongs and where everyone adores him.

Time for a new update about Vicky’s puppies! This time it’s been a bit longer between updates — and for good reason. Ezra and I have been away for a week on a youth group trip to Latvia! So, during that week, Dian, Evie, and Seth took care of the puppies. When I came home, I couldn’t believe my eyes. How much they had grown in just one week! They’ve gone from little clumsy creatures to real little dogs who can walk, play, and even bark a bit. Slowly, we’re starting to see the puppies’ individual personalities. What strikes us most is how calm the whole litter is. That’s probably because Vicky herself is such a relaxed mom. The past few days have also been full of “firsts.” First time drinking milk from a bowl, and this morning — the first time eating fresh meat. They loved it! And finally, their first time outside for a photo. It’s gray and dreary out, so we went back inside quickly. We hope the puppies can play properly outside by the end of the week. We want to do this as much as possible, even when it’s snowy or cold, so they get used to it. But I’ll wait until they’re a bit bigger — I don’t want to take unnecessary risks. It’s wonderful to see how much our kids cuddle with the puppies. That way, they get good early socialization and become used to being held and snuggled.

How fast they’re growing, Vicky’s sweet treasures. They’re almost 3 weeks old now. A number of these beautiful pups are still looking for a loving home.

Big news!
On October 4th, World Animal Day, Vicky’s first litter was born — 9 puppies, what an achievement!
Vicky did a wonderful job, though it was a long delivery of 11 hours. We can really see that she has inherited her mother Suus’s genes. She’s calm, takes great care of her puppies, but also enjoys going outside for a short walk and takes her rest when she needs it. What a star.

The puppies are growing beautifully, even though they can’t all nurse at the same time since Vicky has 8 nipples 🙂 Sometimes it’s quite a scramble to get a turn! That’s why we’re keeping a close eye on the litter and weighing the pups every day. They are strong and make sure they’re heard!

Of course, it’s also fun to share a bit about their genders and colors:
5 males — 1 black and the rest red/caramel.
4 females — 1 black and white parti and the rest brown.
They are absolutely beautiful.

On August 4th, Vicky had a date with the handsome and sweet male Chester from the Mariestad area. It was such a lovely time! After Chester and Vicky played together for a while, they mated successfully—or at least, that’s what we hoped 🙂
On September 1st, our hopes were confirmed: Vicky is pregnant!
We don’t yet know how many puppies she’s expecting; we’ll find out around day 48 when we take an X-ray. Vicky is doing well. She gets tired a bit more quickly than usual and sleeps more. She’s running less and is even sweeter and cuddlier than normal.

From this litter, we can expect all coat colors: black, brown, red, caramel, and even parti.
Vicky is due at the beginning of October, which means the puppies will be ready to leave the litter around early December.

We expect the puppies to have wonderful characters—sweet, enthusiastic, people-oriented, but with a little bit of “spice.”
We’re really looking forward to it!

There is only one male left. Probably one of the darker males. For the female, we are looking for a foster home that is a maximum of 1.5 hours away from Hagfors. Preferably with experience with dogs.

Yes, a beautiful litter is born! Puppies in every colour. 5 boys and one girl. And… 2 of them are parti-colored Doodles. We love it 🙂

Our Suus had a date with enthusiastic, sweet and beautiful Poker from Hööks Labradoodles on 13 November. In about 2,5 weeks we will find out if she is really expecting. Since Suus is a parti carrier and Poker is a red tuxedo male, we can expect many different colours. Both Poker and Suus are about 42 cm in height and weigh about 12 kg.

With Soof’s litter almost completely flown out, we are already looking forward to another litter. We expect Suus to be mated in November. We will then have puppies around the end of December or early January that will be allowed to move when they are 8 weeks old. We will probably choose a Tuxedo Red male. That means Suus’ litter could consist of lots of colours. Red, brown, cream, white, parti, etc. Super fun! When we are sure about this, we will let you know!

I am so in love with this litter. All of them are so cute and playful. And… they keep the litter so clean!! All of them found a very nice “forever home”.

Soofs puppies are born! They are 10 days old now and growing very fast. We have a few spots left :-).

Everything is ready for Soof’s delivery. She has been cut and shaved, the whelping box is ready and the heat lamp is hanging. We have started taking temperatures. If Soof’s temperature drops, we can assume labour will start within 24 hours. Exciting time!

Yes! Soof is very pregnant and will have puppies around 18 July. We did an ultrasound in the Netherlands. The vet counted 7 puppies! We take into account that it could be one more or one less, so 6-8 puppies expected! The father is Cooper from Hööks Labradoodles. He is red a very lovely boy and a little bit smaller than Soof. So we expect miniature red doodles with possible white markings. We are so exited!

Soof is in heat! In about 2 weeks will she hopefully have a successful date with a very nice boy! More about him later :-).

We have been quiet on the website for a while! After a vey busy summer with 13 puppies, we took the time to rest a little bit. Al our puppies found a fantastic “forever home”. We choose to keep two of the girls. A black and white girl from Suus with the name “Vicky” and the red girl from Soof with the name “Saga”. Vicky stayed in our family and Saga lives close by at a very nice foster family. We really enjoy having a puppy around again! She gives us so much joy. She is always happy and cheerful. She sort of has two mothers to help us raise her ;-). This year there will be some time between the litters. We don’t now exactly how long. It really depends on when Soof and Suus wil be “in heat” again. We keep you updated on the website, but also on Facebook and Instagram.
